Klimas Wkręt-met a shining example of social commitmen

Klimas Wkręt-met, a Polish manufacturer of screws and fixings, known not only for the high quality of its products but also for its social commitment, recently joined the Celebrity Calendar project. The publication is carried out by “Businesswoman & Life” for the benefit of the “Akogo?” Foundation. Ewa Blaszczyk Foundation. The Celebrity Calendar, realized by “Businesswoman & Life” for the benefit of the “Akogo?” Foundation. Ewa Błaszczyk Foundation has lived to see its twelfth edition this year. Each time, it is an important event for the Foundation. It is an opportunity to promote its activities and remind people how important it is to help those in a coma. The calendars are distributed in various places, such as bookshops and art galleries. This allows them to reach as many people as possible to support the foundation.

The “Akogo?” The foundation is an organization founded by Ewa Blaszczyk, a Polish actress, and social activist. Its aim is to help comatose children and young people and their families. The Foundation pursues its goals, among others, through the operation of the ‘Budzik‘ clinic, established in 2013. Nearly a hundred children have already been awakened here since its establishment.

Budzik” is the first and only facility in Poland specializing in the rehabilitation of children and young people in a coma. Coma is a serious condition that causes loss of consciousness, reaction to stimuli, and the ability to communicate. Children in a coma often require long-term medical and rehabilitation care. The ‘Budzik’ clinic offers comprehensive care for patients, as well as the support needed by their families. The primary method of treatment is sensory stimulation, which aims to stimulate the patient’s brain and body functions. Various methods and techniques are used, such as music therapy, movement therapy, sensory therapy, sign-use therapy, or SI therapy.

In addition, the foundation is involved in research to better understand and improve the care of coma patients. “Akogo?” also organizes numerous charity events and auctions to raise funds for the development of the clinic and to help disadvantaged children and families. This year’s auctioned works will include a painting from the Klimas Art collection, made using the Screv Art technique, with branded Klimas Wkręt-met screws.

The new edition of the Calendar also has a specific goal. Funds raised from partners and sales will be allocated to the construction of the ‘Budzik’ clinic for adults.

Our company is associated with the construction industry, which is perhaps why we so often get involved in projects that aim to build. We supported the construction of two Ronald McDonald Houses in Krakow and Warsaw, Dom Oczami Brata in Częstochowa, and now we have joined a campaign whose aim is to build a ‘Budzik’ clinic for adults,” says Joanna Klimas-Leśniak, a board member at Klimas Wkręt-met. Every year, more than 15,000 Poles fall into a coma. Caring for them requires specialized equipment and therapies, as well as the experience of specialists. The creation of another professional clinic is a milestone in treating patients and supporting their families and coma research. We could not pass by this initiative indifferently,” says Joanna Klimas-Leśniak, Board Advisor for Business Development at Klimas Wkręt-met.

Many well-known celebrities joined the project, led by Ewa Blaszczyk – the founder and President of the “Akogo?” Foundation. Joanna Klimas-Leśniak stood in front of the lens paired with Polish actress and singer Maria Niklińska.

The whole idea of creating a calendar to support the “Akogo?” Foundation was a key reason for me to get involved in this project. Its pages feature photos of well-known Polish personalities, who not only look beautiful in the calendar but also convey a huge dose of positive emotions and inspiration. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to be a part of this project, and I hope that the initiative of the “Akogo?” Foundation of Ewa Błaszczyk will continue. Ewa Błaszczyk Foundation will continue for years to come. I believe that thanks to our involvement and support, we can really do a lot and bring hope where it is most needed,” concludes the representative of Klimas Wkręt-met.

The premiere of the Celebrity Calendar with the participation of Klimas Wkręt-met will take place this autumn.
